After spending months using a 7″ tablet to connect to the Internet (including ssh), it’s a bit of a relief to get back to a full-sized computer, screen, keyboard, mouse, etc. Should make things like blog-posting and video uploading easier 🙂
So, Winnipeg is a nice place; I’ve applied for a new health card – unlike Ontario you get it the day you arrive, so I’m all healthed up. Our house has two-bedrooms on the main floor, and a 5′ attic space that works nicely for hosting this computer and probably can serve as a video studio when the time comes.
The ball is rolling already, which is refreshing… it’s always nice to work with people who, seeing what needs to be done, find ways to do it. We’re already in the process of registering a non-profit here – probably this means we’ll cancel the application in Ontario (note to self: tell the people working on the Ontario application). Saturday we will go to see a couple of properties in the area and with any luck we’ll be on the way towards opening a meditation centre in the vaguely-defined near future.
Saturday also marks the commencement of weekly meditation days at the Manitoba Buddhist Vihara downtown, so if you’re in the area, stop by – due to morning real-estating, we’ll be starting late: 1:30 PM to 5:30 PM. Sunday I’ll be giving another talk in the morning I think, more directed towards the Sri Lankan youth, I suppose.
All the change-in-plansing has left me a bit disoriented, with many correctionings to do in the days to come. So if parts of the website, the organization, and my activities appear out-of-whack, please bear with us as we undergo some scheduled maintenance in the coming days.
All is well and, if all goes well, all will be even weller as plans unfold.
Peace all 🙂
