This is to announce the official inception of the Dhamma Carika program, a non-profit program set-up by Sirimangalo International to provide a means for meditation teachers in the tradition of Ajaan Tong Sirimangalo to reach a global audience. The program aims to organize a yearly trip around the world to bring direct meditation instruction to the world.
Dhamma Carika is an experiment based on conversations with fellow insight meditation teachers in Thailand about teaching meditation abroad. Our hope is to hold courses in May and June of every year, starting this year. If you would like to get involved, please visit our new site at:

From the website:
What sorts of programs does Dhamma Carika offer? Programs are tailored to fit the needs of the individual locations, but generally-speaking, the program aims to offer residential and day courses as well as guest talks at local institutions or as agreed upon by the teachers and facilitators in each location.
Where Does Dhamma Carika Go? Generally, we will agree to hold programs anywhere in the world, provided all requirements such as visas, transportation, accommodation, etc. are met. Please see the Itinerary section for our current list of destinations.
What is the timeline for Dhamma Carika? Loosely, we are aiming to travel during the months of May and June. This may change, and the Itinerary section will be the final source for information on our schedule.
How do I get involved? There are many ways you can get involved with Dhamma Carika. First, if you want to act as a facilitator, you can contact us about bringing Dhamma Carika to your country. Second, you can donate to Sirimangalo International to help fund the courses. Finally, you can contact the facilitator in your area about helping out with or signing up for programs already scheduled in your area.
